About ALVL

An association consisting of 18 light volleyball clubs since 2022
ALVL (Australian Light Volleyball League) is an association consisting of 18 light volleyball clubs from Sydney. It is set up in August 2022 to promote the sport through tournaments and training sessions for players and umpires, after the success of the first CLG Cup tournament. All revenues are reinvested into the development of the game and clubs. The administrative committee is selected by popular votes. ALVL plans to organise the second Grand Prix in December 2022 with exclusive cash prizes for winning teams.
Registration for the tournament
Registration is open to the public with five groups: Group Male I, Group Female I (age 45-70), Group Male Open, Group Female Open (age 18-70), and Group Mixed (age 45-70). The tournament is expected to last 6 days across three weekends, involving 60 participating teams and over a thousand players, umpires, volunteers, and spectators. The total prize pool will be over A$10,000, with a minimum of A$2,000 for each group, subject to upward adjustment based on sponsorship deals. ALVL aims to make this tournament the most attractive light volleyball event outside China.

League's marketing promotions
The league will use outsourced media agencies, including Australian mainstream Channel 7 and federal-funded Chinese radio SBS, for event coverage. Various overseas social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube) and Chinese media (Australia Today, WeSydney, Lamabang, Xiaohongshu, Bilibili, Toutiaohao, Xigua Video, Meipian) will be used for promotion. The Grand Prix will select most valuable players through public voting to promote the game in Sydney, Melbourne, New Zealand, and China, aiming for sponsor publicity. Sponsors are treated as initial cooperative partners with their names on the website (WWW.ALVL.COM.AU) and have the first right of refusal for future matches.
